Im thinking of getting a cell phone and theres a current promo of 600 minutes for 39.99, regularly 400 minutes....but im not sure if i will use them all and may settle fore a lower plan later..ie the $29.99 with 250 minutes....im gonna get AT&T will they charge me a hefty sum if i get the 600 min plan but want to change it to the 250 plan later on if i find i dont use it all? And if so about how much?

They probably won't charge you, but you'll have to sign up for another contract, most likely.

many/most cell phone service providers will charge you a fee to change plans there are companies that don't charge I don't know if AT&T charges or not I have Cingular and they charge $37 to change plans.

You can downgrade on plans for free w/ AT&T.

But jsut call em and make sure, I wouldn't want to be responsible for putting you into a mess.

sprint will let you change ur contract no problems. no charge

ya, but you have to sign up for another year contract starting that day.

Yeah, thats usually the kicker. They'll downgrade your account, but they start the contract over on that day...
