I have some d/l'ed Friends episodes.

Some of them play fine on my Windows Media Player.

Some don't play at all.

Some only have sound (w/the WMP visualization).

Some give me the error that "Not all pins are connected" or something...

I have the latest codec from www.divx.com installed.

What do I have to do to get my videos to play? :(

I'm running Windows 2000 w/all the updates.

THX!

If they don't play at all, they're probably incomplete...

If you only hear the sound, you're missing the right codec. Try installing the 3.11a codec.

install divx 3.11a
install divx 4.02, choose not to use it for divx3 content
use acm lame for audio (radium codec has lower quality, but its ok too)
use mplayer2 (WMP 6.4) to play it, not the crappy WMP 7/8

if still has problems, go to doom9.org forums and ask there. they have some really 1337 ppl there.

I found 2 programs are the best:
Angelpotion
and
DivX crawler.
These include a nice package of codecs and I have them both installed and am able to play all of the divX file's i've got. Also, you should check what kind of video codec it uses by right clicking then properties then the tab 'details'. That way it'll give you an idea of what you may need to play it.
