Question about Distributed Protein Folding

Here is the website to the protein folding program.
About how many work points should i be getting per hour given my machine? (Link to my comp in my sig)
I think i have the extra ram enabled and the priority is low.

I only ask this question because im getting 3488.8 work points an hour. (over a 17 interval i got 59310pts) Seems kind of low.

Also is there anyway that i can increase this? and could i install multiple folding tests on my computer at one time? and if so how?

Thanks in advance.

PS I am on team anandtech, so helping me is helping you 😉

i dont know very much about intel hardware.
that does seem low.
is that hyperthreading?
if it is this thread might help here
there might be more info around that site.
are you using dfgui?
if not you need to.
you can make sure your client is using extra ram and other client settings
how much ram is your client using?
hit ctrl shift escape and find out how much RAM its using, it should be using around 75 megs.

The priority shoudlnt mtter s long there isnt a program thats using the CPU alot.

no dont mess with the client priorty.
i typically install as a service, as well.
open up cmd line in the folder where the client is located. this is from the readme file that comes with the client

type foldtrajlite /install

then go to dfgui, check the client installed as a service checkbox.
i dont know if it affects performance too much, its more a matter of preference. it might be a little faster with service. some other tips would be to disable net access and just let your client horde up on points and do a manual upload when you feel its necessary. i dont know if this speeds up the client either, but i would think it might a little, since it doesnt have to upload after every gen. this is just the way i choose to do things.

oh and i forgot to mention this in the previous thread, welcome to the fold! we can always use more more more more more.
