Question about digital cable (Comcast)

They have a promotion going on thats 4 months of Digital Cable for $29.99 and then regular price. The problem is that I have like 6 TVs in the house, and from what Ive been told is that I need a digital reciever for each TV that needs digital cable. If I hook up 2 TVs to digital cable recievers, would the other 4 still have access to basic cable? I may just keep the digital cable for 4 months, then downgrade to basic. Cant afford that much dough 😛
 
I have Charter but I can still get regular cable on TVs without a cable box, I would assume it's the same with Comcast.

I dont mean the cable box (I believe all our TVs are cable ready), I meant the digital cable recievers that allow you to get 125+ channels and other digital cable stuff. Unless thats what you were talking about...:beer:
 
Comcast (I think) has the same thing going in my area. I decided against it because it's just more channels of crap with no real difference in quality.

you mean the promotion? The only reason Im considering digital is because of the price; they said that if I wanted basic cable, itd be $38/month anyway, so Im just gonna test this digital package out until the promotion ends and then downgrade.
 
Yea, you need multiple digital cable boxes if you want all the digital features for each tv. Your other TV's will still get basic cable.. ie, we can have four other TV's with channels 2-54. 55+ is digital, and is only available on the TV with a Digital Cable Receiver.

Also consider, some cable companies only allow two or four extra TV's.. anymore and they start charging you.. So if you have one of their guys come out, hide one or two of your other TVs 😀 😛

Throw a sheet on top of them an voila...we have a coffee table...🙂

I dont think the cable tech would go around the whole house though, as we have already pulled some of the coax cables to the separate rooms. The only ones he/she should see are the ones that will be getting digital service. 😀
