Question About Desktop Wallpapers

Would It be possible to make a animated wallpaper? As in taking a video clip, cutting a couple of seconds of it making it your background.

I did see one a couple of years ago, It was pretty cool. But I have no idea how to make one.

You could do active desktop and point it to a huge animated GIF or something...

I think you should be able to do with active desktop displaying a page containing the animated gif. It's gonna hog a crapload of system resources and it's going to be really annoying after a while, I guarantee it.
