I have the Gigabyte Radeon 9600xt. I was wondering if this video card will support the 1680x1050 resolution for the 2005FPW. Any help will be appreciated!! Thanks...
Assuming you don't have unrealistic expectations about what you'll be running. Pushing the pixels will be no problem, your card may well cry in certain games, if you crank the quality too high.
Should be fine, I have a R9600 Pro in my laptop, with the same screen resolution. Just done expect games like CSS, or Doom3 to run at the native resolution. World of Warcraft will, but with 20-40FPS and some odler games will, but nothing new stands a chance running native. As for windows and general work, it will be perfect.

Used to have the exact same card running in my old system using the 2005FPW. It truly surprised me that I could run HL2 @ 1680x1050 at a playable framerate ...errr, well, most of the time anyway 😛
I have a Dell 2005FPW running on a 9800 PRO and you definately will not be able to enjoy many newer games at the native 1680x1050 resolution. My 9800 Pro cannot handle America's Army at the native resolution. To clarify, it runs the game, but the FPS is about 15-10FPS, and there is studder when your getting shot at. So I run it at 1280 x 1024 instead.
The good thing is that the 2005FPW seems to handle non-natiive resolutions quite well. The game looks fine at the resolution. As good as it did on my olf 19" CRT.
I don't usually play games, but I will from time to time. This will mostly be work related use. If I do play games, I can just lower the resolution and play the games then. Thanks for all the responses!!
