Question about dell shipping

Ok so I ordered my D800 laptop March 18th.
Dell said my laptop would ship on April 14, which sucks cause god damn thats a long time.
So yesterday (friday April 11) I hop on dell.com to check my order status and it says:
Delivery Estimate: May 7 - May 9


Status as of Saturday, April 12, 2003 4:57:33 PM Central Time



1. Order Processing: Tuesday, March 18, 2003


2. Pre-production: Tuesday, March 18, 2003


3. In Production: Thursday, April 03, 2003
a. Kitting DONE
b. Build DONE
c. Testing DONE
d. Boxing IN PROGRESS


4. Shipping Prep: Monday, April 14, 2003


5. Estimated Ship Date: Monday, April 14, 2003 New Estimated Ship Date:
Friday, May 02, 2003


so, anyone bought sh1t from dell.com before and had something like this happen? I mean its boxed and they still wont ship till may 2nd? wtf?
 
If its in boxing, its being flown from mayalisa to nashville where it'll be shipped. It should only be a 3-4 days in there. If not, try posting on the order status forums (under customer service) at forums.us.dell.com. There's a moderator (Chandler) there that will let you know exactly where your order is.
