Question about Dell restore disk.....

The restore disk that comes with most Dell's is that a OEM disk or is it only good for Dell machines? Also if it is OEM it can be sold but it must be sold with a piece of equipment correct?

When used on a Dell PC, it will install without requring Activation. If used on a non-Dell, it'll require a Dell-specific Key and you won't be able to Activate online. It's against MS's EULA agreement to install it on a non-Dell PC. You can transfer the license as long as you include the Dell PC that it came with.

Op said restore disk, not oem branded windows install disk. I was under the impression restore disks check bios/etc and refuse to do anything.
