Question about Dell Laptop battery.

I have a Dell 6000 that came with two batteries. Will there be any negative effect on the battery if I don't use one of them for a year?

These batteries work better and longer if they are cycled on a regular basis...i cycle mine about once a month

Although I've heard you shouldn't do it, I left one unused longer than that and it still works just fine.

The best advice I have is switch between them, on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.

According to this, the best way to store it would be to discharge it to 40% charge and put it in the fridge. Should still have ~97% capacity after 1 year.
