how did DDR get the title pc2100, pc2400, pc2700, pc3000, pc3200, pc3500, pc3700?

i think its theoretical bandwith.. like pc2100 is 2.1 gb/s bandwith, and so on.

thanx, that makes since actually since max bandwidth goes from 3.2 to 6.4 when pc3200 is in dual channel

it is when you are using a 400mhz FSB, it's just not that useful for an athlon unless you have onboard video
