I want to get some DDR 2700 Ram. I'm debating on two different ones unless someone has a better suggestion. The two are Samsung and Crucial. Here's a cut and past from Newegg on the Samsung memory:

"Hot Item! Samsung Original DDR333 PC-2700 512mb CAS2.5 - OEM Version
DDR 333MHz True PC 2700 chip (Not over clock from PC-2100 chip) New release for Best Performance- Lifetime Manufacturer warranty Model#: SAMSUNGPC2700512MB -OEM "

or Crucial which I took from the crucial site:
512MB CT6464Z335 DDR PC2700 ? CL=2.5 ? Unbuffered ? Non-parity ? 6ns ? 2.5V ? 64Meg x 64

I saw that the Newegg made mention that the Samsung is true DDR 333MHz and not overclocked. Is that old news or are companies really still over clocking the ram to get it to these speeds? I want the fastest and best ram since I'm playing with video editing now. Thanks!

I can't answer your question about companies still doing that, but I can help you with the decision process...

crucial if it's between those two, corsair if you can choose something else :) mushkin is a third good company, as far as I know, so yea!

Both of those are great companies to buy RAM from. Im running the Samsung Original pc2700 @ 386MHz 2-3-3-6. If I had to choose between the two, I would just go with which one is cheaper.:)

I have an ASUS P4PE/L motherboard. The Samsung and the Crucial is going to run me really close to the same price. The Samsung is going to cost me $127.32 since I have to payfor shipping and tax since I live in California where newegg is. I believe I won't have to pay tax on crucial which will cost $129. One other thing, I don't plan on overclocking...just too chicken to mess with that. :)
