Question about current internal DVD recorders

Hey all,

Quick question pertaining to internal DVD recorders. My last DVD-R was a pioneer A04 which was re-branded by some other company. I am currently looking for the DVR-A08XL, pioneer's current DVD recorder. Is any other manufacturer currently using this as a rebrand? Like iomagic, hi-val, pacific digital or mad dog tech?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
 
I'm not sure about your question but I'd really reccomend the NEC ND3500A, I've had a few dvd recorders and none can touch this one in speed or price.
 
most if not all mad dog DVDRW drives are NEC I believe. Can't go wrong with nec, pioneer, or liteon IMHO.
