question about Credit Reports

I would like to know whats going on with my credit report. What is the most reliable one out there that is FREE,that I can view online.

None are free unless you sign up for some sort of monitoring service. You really should get a copy of all 3 as different companies report to different agencies. Unless you were denied credit, you should end up paying around $9 ea - lower in some states.

If you want to view it online, it is going to cost you.

You can call all three credit reporting agencies (Equifax, Experian and TransUnion) and have free copies sent to your home.

Plus they just are a report they don't tell you a score. You can get a 3 in 1 report with score from Myfico.com. It includes reports from all three bureaus and scores from each.

This would be the option I would go with. Why skimp when it's just a few bucks more for the most comprehensive report. The cheapie reports generally don't include fico or they just show one credit reporting company, which really doesn't help you all that much.

Only if you have been denied credit. Otherwise you still have to pay.

Well...actually some states require that a bureau give you one free report a year and a few others require two a year. This is regardless of whether or not you have been denied for credit recently. Georgia is one such state and that is where mpitts lives.
