Question about creating a Web Site

i'm gonna pay someone to create a web site (not really but for this business plan),... they get paid per hour, how many hours do u think it would take to create a basic web site with no e-commerce or anything... just some descriptions of things and maybe a few pictures

Who's writing the descriptions? A skeleton web page, just a few graphics, "blah" written everywhere would only take a couple of hours, tops.

Now, if the person making the site is supposed to write the descriptions in, find/modify/create graphics, test the code v. multiple browsers and resolutions, grammar check, spell check, stylize the text, etc... it could all take 10 or more hours, depending on how many products and/or details
