Question about "Core Temp" proggie

I'm in the process of building and oc'ing my new E6400 machine and have a question about temps displayed by Core Temp.

My core 0 is at 20 deg C and my core 1 is at 25 deg C.
Is it normal to have that big a difference between the 2?

I don't usually see more than 2-3C difference between the cores, unless one is working on something and the other is idle. Load em up with Orthos blend and see if there's much difference between them.

I just checked mine and it shows about a 2* difference between the two at idle, but when I run Orthos, they are exactly the same.

I am also using PCProbe and that shows 3-4* higher than core temp. I wonder which is correct?

Anyone know what the Tjunction is? Mine is at 85*C!! 😛

It doesn't even work that way; if you look at usage graphs while running a single-threaded program for 50% CPU usage, it moves the load back and forth constantly.

I also see 85C Tjunction; I'd guess it's not working. 😛

I get maybe 2-3 difference; 4 doesn't sound too outrageous; I'd guess the sensors have slightly different properties leading to the difference.
