question about cooling

what make the system cold?

when the 120 mm fan on rear and front installed, does it make the system cool.

does it make any difference if you have a cpu air duct on case or not to make a system cool.

The system doesn't really get 'cooled' by the fans - the fans simply prevent heat from accumulating within your case. The CPU fan moves heat from your CPU into the bulk of the case, then it is evacuated by the case fans.

Ducting can keep your processor colder by focusing the ability of fans to move heat on the places where they are most needed.

The duct on the 3000b is excellent, the only thing I dont care for is that it is non-moveable. If you could position the duct directly over the CPU center for all mb's, I can't think of a case that would cool better. The duct lined up pretty well with my IC7 mb, but not great with my new DFI Ultra-D. I am going to do some modding to get the duct positioned dead center. When the duct was extended down to my Zalman 7000 on the IC7, the CPU temp was drastically reduced, and it only makes common sense that it would be....

m 🙂
