I wear my month-long contacts for three months at a time. It's not healthy though, you're better off switching when you're supposed to. I just never remember to.

I have Cooper Torics which I was told are one month disposables. I've used pairs for almost a year on occasion, by when they more than likely tear and become useless. I take them out every night, clean them well (and gently) every morning/night, and provide them with a brand new and/or sparkling clean case every 2-4 weeks. No probs in seven years of wearing such contacts.

Eye doc told me that the 2 week contacts can typically be used from 2~6 weeks as long as they are properly cared for. I've worn the same pair for almost 3 months before they started really bothering my eyes.

You absolutley can, just keep good care of them and as long as they feel good in your eye it should be fine.
My doctor tells you will feel the difference when they are worn out.

Buy the solution called COMPLETE. It's better than Acuvue. I have soft lenses and I dispose it once a month. Like mentioned before, CLEAN YOUR CONTACTS WELL. Don't do clean them in a rush. You don't want to grow an ameba in your eye.

..OR DO YOU???

Umm what? Complete is a solution, and Acuvue is a brand of contacts. Not to mention the generic brand (Wal-Mart equate is the cheapest here) has the exact same ingrediants. No need to pay for their overpriced product and marketing, and hell you might end up with eye fungus (MoistureLoc by ReNu).

I have Acuvue Oasys by the way, they are awesome, and my opthamologist told me they are one of the top of the line out now. They are expensive, but I can feel the difference, especially considering all the years I had to endure fogging and dryness late at night etc.

As long as you really clean them you can make them last 3 weeks. I don't recommend any longer than that, you can get an eye infection very fast and not know you have one.
