Question about contact lens prescriptions and stuff

So i was thinking of gettng contact lenses.. the last time i got them, i was in India. It was completely computerized. I am talking about the year 2000/2001 when i last got contacts. I am not a regular contact user but i would like some again.

The last time they had me look at 2 machines. One to check the power of my eyes (i looked thru and saw the balloon in the distance - they ofcourse double checked my power manually too) and then one more to see how big i needed a lens for my iris. That one had concentric circles of lights. End result was that i had the most comfortable soft contact lenses ever. I dont think i have that prescription anywhere, if i did i could use that size.

I want to get contacts but not too many boxes, but i would like some. Most places seems to want to check your eyes and also prescribe contacts. I also will need new glasses but that i can go to my usual eye doctor. He does do contacts but he doesnt have that fancy machine. i dont want to test fit contacts like i did so the first time.

Where in teh US can i find a place that has that kind of machines to check your eyes.

I'd suggest finding an eye doctor in your local phone directory or ask anyone you know who wears contacts. Most eye doctors will have several machines to test your vision, cataracts, etc.

There is a doctor about 1.7 miles away from your house that has those exact machines. Mention my name and he will do the service for free.
