Question about Compaq SCSI drive

rudder

Lifer
I have an 18.2 gig compaq scsi drive. It came from a proliant server. Does anyone know of an adapter that would allow me to connect it to an adaptec 29160n scsi card? I think the drive is made by quantum but I am not sure if it has a proprietary connector.

If the drive have only a 80 pin connector on it you will need a adaptor(80 pin to 68 pin). Next you need get the right adaptor for the drive. If the drive is a U160 you need a U160 compatible one. Could you put up the info on the drives label?

Thanks for teh reply and it helped me figure it out. The drive has a sca interface and I need to get an adapter to connect it to the scsi card. I was not sure if it was compaq proprietary, but it looks like it should be no problem to connect it.
