Question about Comcast digital cable.

I had comcast cable installed at a new house Saturday. We got the digital cable box. When the installer was here he either did something with the remote or the cable box to switch between analog and digital to show us how the quality differed. When he left he left it in analog mode.
Does anyone know how to switch it back to digital?
The picture didn't look quite as clear as the digital. SInce we've been unpacking I haven't had a chance to call Comcast to see if they know but I will tomorrow.
Anyone know?
 
When you find out, please update this thread. I, too, have digital cable, and I've never heard of this. I'd like to see if there's a difference here.
 
Hmm... never saw that option... there is a slight difference as we both have a digital and an analog box at home. Picture is much sharper... but channels also change slower.
 
I will let you all know if I can find out. I'm sure I'll call comcast and they will think I am crazy. When the instgaller was here I was too busy with carrying boxes in and some other stuff. Right before he left is when he would change the cahnnle and it would look pixelated sometimes. He saidthat was digital. Then he said something like "Your analog is a littel weaker but still withing specs". And he turned it to a couple of channles and stated "See, this isn't wuite as clear as the digital". Then he started talking about something else.
Next thing I knew he was gone.

I'd like to know too.
Most likely he was changing between channels and not analog/digital.
Digital starts up aroung channel 99 or something.

 
I'm getting quite pissed off at comcast. Just got a letter saying that our cable bill is going up yet again, on the 1st of the year.:|:|:|
 
I am not sure about that exact option, but when the cable box is turned off, but still plugged in, press the menu button. a set of admin options should pop up and the option may be in there.
 
Sorry guys. Moving into this new house has consumed alot of my time and I haven't had a chance to call them. Hopefully I can find the invoice that the tech gave me when he came out and maybe get in touch with him personally to get more detail.
