Ok, so now everyone knows I'm a true dweeb.

I just bought a light bar (sound activated) from a online site a few days ago.
It showed up this morning and I installed it.

NADDA.

It doesn't light up.

There is a 3 way switch on the back of the unit that fits in a PCI slot on the case, and I tryed it in all three positions. NADDA.

There is a dial there as well. NADDA.

There is also a cable that plugs into the sound card, it's plugged in. ZIP.

SHouldn't these light up even if they aren't plugged into a sound source? Isn't that what the switch is for?

This thing came with no instructions, nothing nadda zip.

Did I get burned?

Well I don't have a sound-activated cold cathode, but it sounds like the three positions on the switch would be on, off, and sound-activated. Was the switch already wired when you got it? Maybe you wired it incorrectly? Did it come with a converter? Finally, is it plugged into your power supply?

It was prewired.

It's plugged into the PS.

Me thinks its busted

Also no invoice in the box, and the lable doesn't even say who it's from.

Now I have to go to the bank to find out who the charge went to so I can get one that WORKS! :(
