Question about CircuitCity Rebates & Pricematching...

A few minutes ago i picked up a Sanyo 5300 cellphone on Sprint PCS at Circuit City.

CC was selling the phone for $399 - $150 CC MIR - $50 Sprint MIR

Bestbuy was advertising the phone for $299 - $50 Sprint MIR

So i went to CC and pricematched them down to $299 (Bestbuy's price) for the phone, and then got the rebates printout for $150 and $50. The salesman brought up the point that he wasnt sure if CC would honor the $150 rebate since they sold it to me at a lower price ($299 instead of $399).

Will CC Honor the $150 Rebate?

Does CC rebates have a phone number you can call and ask?

$150 is a lot to risk.

I have PM'd CC against CompUSA before and submitted a CC rebate which was approved but it was a $20 video card not $150 cell phone.

If they say YES make sure to write down the date, time, their name, extension/operator ID/badge number for your records.

$150 is a lot to gamble on a rebate.

She said it shouldnt be a problem at all, since there is no mention on the form about the price.

I fergot to get her ID# though.
