Question about charging a dead battery (RV)

My trailer has a battery disconnect switch, so whenever I come home from a trip, I hit the switch to stop parasitic drains. However, between trips, which are usually months apart, I always have difficulty using my electric tongue jack, because my battery is always dead. Generally, I could run an extension cord and plug in my trailer and leave it plugged in 24/7, but I really don't think that's a proper way to go about keeping the battery charged (I have to run an extension cord, where my trailer is parked, there is no closer outlet). So I picked up a battery charger:

My question is, will this work charging a completely dead rv 12v marine battery? It has 2 settings (3A and 15A) and lets me choose whether is a standard, AMG(?) or gel battery. The 15A setting says it's for marine batteries, which my battery is, but is 15A too much to leave charging say overnight? Last night I hooked it up at the 3A setting. This morning, I checked on it, it said it was 100% charged, but when I went to operate my jack, it barely was able to lift. Should I just leave it at 3A and let it charge for the next 48 hours? I need to move my trailer on Saturday and I'd like to know the best way to recharge the battery as we'll be going on a camping trip in about 2 weeks. I'm a complete dunce when it comes to electricity/batteries etc. Thanks.

If the battery has a habit of being completely dead, it might be bad by now. It's possible for it to hold voltage but be unable to sustain any significant load.

Thanks jlee. It's the original battery that came with the trailer and we've had it since 2014. Maybe it's just time for a new 1.

@Pulsar: It is parked out side but we keep it parked under a tree to minimize exposure to direct sunlight. I like the idea of installing solar and have looked into them before. Maybe it's time to explore it again.
