question about changing names of disk drives

Is there a way to change the name of my optical drives?

Right now I have two partitions on my hard drive (C and D). I also have 2 optical drives. I want them to be E and F. But when I reformatted my comp I forgot to unplug my compact flash card, so now the comp recognizes THAT as E. And my optical drives are F and G. Is there a way I can change it without reformatting AGAIN?

I have windows XP Pro

What Operating system are you using? In XP you can right "my computer" and go to "manage" and to the sub category "disk management" to change the drive letters.
