Question about censored terms

So some dude told me to D.I.A.F and I replied, what's "D I A F" stand for, and a popus told me I had censored words....I was perplexed and aded symbols and stuff til I got to that acronym.

Yet his post wasn't censored, and neither was one afterwards also directing me to (presumably) die in a fire.

So are newbies censored more heavily than vets or something?

When the letters are combined, the acronym is a banned term. That's why your post was censored. By adding the periods, he got around the filter. You got around it in this thread by adding spaces.

Sort of like typing s h i t.

Yep! Putting periods and spaces allow for you to get past the filters.

DIAF <---- works just fine for me.

Ok so the engine that censors words is basically very, very dumb. just preface or postface(?) it with any kind of punctuation and it'll go through.

Thanks.

doo-doo.
