Question about CD's...

I've asked this to so many ppl but I can never remember. Are CD's read from the inside out or outside in? I just have scratches on a music CD and want to see if it plays fine or not.

Inside out.

Well, at least when you burn them, it starts at the inside.

Yup, which makes it possible to have non-standard sized/shaped CD's.

HD's are the opposite, read from the outside in.
