Question about cd/dvd drive

I am ready to order a pc, and I am stumped with the cd rom options. I want to get a Lite-On combo SOHC-5232K 52x32x52X16 that will play the dvd's,cdroms, and record cds. But also looking to get a simple 52x asus cdrom as my first drive, and have the combo as my second. Would this be practical, or should I just get the combo only? I want to make sure the liteon combo drive will read my older games that I have, and install them.

I also heard that its best to have two seperate drives and not use the combo rewriter drive to play games on and use constantly. Is this true?

Another question. Would I run into problems having this setup? I heard sometimes if you load a game using the cd rom, and try to play it with the other drive that wasnt used to load the game, it wont read it? Would this be a problem , or should I just stick with the combo only, and get a dvd rewriter later?
