question about case/cpu fans

hey guys would it be better to get a bigger fan that has a slower rpm
or a smaller fan that spins faster?

i'm not overclocking so i'm trying to get the least amount of noise while still providing sufficent cooling
 
big fans tend to be quieter. I like my 80mm's... enough so that I dumped the original smaller ones on my CPU and ducted. I don't currently have a case (long story) so no case fan 😉
