question about cancelled flights

What are your options if your flight has been cancelled ? I can't get through to jetblue via phone right now. Is it usually you just have to get their next scheduled flight which is the next day at the same time (what then happens to those people?) or do they just create a new flight and you have to keep watching for it ?

You'll probably have to catch the next flight out. They won't 're-create' a flight to make up for a cancelled one.

You obviously have access to the internet. Go to their website and search their schedule for options.
What OPTIONS are there ? There aren't any listed. I didn't know it until I was just called ... you have to re-book and next available is Tuesday. Could I have found this information out through their website ? It doesn't say to re-book. That's why I'm asking here.

I'm also wondering about stand-by... if you've gone through cancellations, please chime in. Do you basically wait at the airport just at that next flight's time or can they actually put you on other flights which connect all over the place ?

Sorry. I was under the impression that you were at the airport and your flight had just been cancelled. That's the usual way it happens.

Based on this, I'd do exactly what you are doing. Keep calling until you get through. They are probably the only ones who can help.

90% of canceled flights are due to the plane not being booked to ROI capacity

EDIT: I mean, mechanical difficulties
