Picture wise is there any difference between using a cable card versus an actual HD cable box?

nah. there shouldn't be

it is jsut a tuner with integrated program guide.....

that, and they are only one way right now so no onp-p-demand
 
Ok thanks guys, I think I'll just go with the box since I can swap that out myself. The cable company
says they have to send somebody to the house to activate the cards.

 
I just picked up the HD DVR (Scientific Atlanta) from the Cablevision office, can't wait until my TV gets here.
