currently, I sleep on the carpet, so really, almost anything is an improvement.

I'm looking for something not expensive, and i would like to try one of those memory foam.

Walmart has those 'canopy' 8 inch memory foam mattress. a Queen size is in the $200 range. reviews from walmart.com praise these are really good for the price.

Any body have any suggestions or reviews? I would like to stay in the $200 range.

is 8 inch enough?

I also dont plan on getting a box spring. Is that absolutely required? Just plan to put the matress on the carpet.

or maybe someon has a different site to buy memory foams.

1. Drive around the ghetto

2. Find the one with the least amount of bodily fluid content

3. ......

Check Craigslist. I got a nice Serta queen mattress + box spring + frame for $250. Less than one year old, one owner. Also, having a box spring is not overrated. It'll make your bedroom less ghetto.

Only problem with CL is that you have to pick it up yourself. No delivery.

I read:

Semen queen mattress

I don't think that was a typo.

didn't know there was a big market of second owner+ mattresses. Everyone that sells a mattress claims this and it's only a few months to a year old.

i was looking for a new mattress 2 months ago. everything that i read said latex >>>>>>> memory foam. i also heard that for spring mattresses, stay away from pillowtops and just get a foam topper, if needed. pillowtops tend to break down quicker than the rest of the mattress and can't be replaced. foam toppers, if they break down, are much cheaper to replace than a whole mattress.

i wound up with a firm, non-pillowtop mattress from Original Mattress Factory and added a 1" foam topper from Target. Very comfortable.

You're probably better off buying an inflatable mattress at walmart for $50 to use until you save up enough money for a real mattress (e.g. at least >$600 range)

Dude, if you can't afford a damn, bed sell your computer and get a real bed or a couch.
I paid $50 for my couch set at a garage sale. Threw on some covers for $25 each and they all look the same and are super comfy. I nap on them all the time.

Why am I picturing the scene from Basketball where they show Little Bitch his bed?
