Question about buying a car

I may go to someone who is offering a car for a scam-worthy price. What should i look for? make sure the engine is running, pinkslip? anything else? Newer suburban for $300, supposedly ex cheated and wants to sell car she bought him. don't want to get in trouble, but do want to pounce. thanks!

Salvaged title, flood damage and airbag deployment are a few more things that come to mind.

For $300 dollars you could part the thing out and make 10x what you pay for it. I don't see how you can lose, as long as the title is clear.

i was thinking of selling it on ebay, that way i can buy my dream truck 🙂 Still thinking about it tho...
