question about build and psu

I am going to order these parts but i got 1 small question. Will all of this run on my 2 year old ocz stealthxstream 500 or 550 watt psu.

INTEL CORE I5-750
Sapphire 5850 1gb
G.SKILL 4GB (2X2) DDR3 1600
ARCTIC COOLING FREEZER XTREME REV.2
1x wd sata

I am asking this cause on the amd site it says that the 5850 nees a minimum of 500 watt psu. So my question is will it run properly with all these things inside my case. Or should i buy a new psu. Eventually i will buy a new one cuz i will sell my old pc and i need a psu for that. But atm i want to safe a bit of cash by not buying a new psu just yet.

I punched up your system and I get about 350w under 90% load.

You should be fine.

These types of calculator's are not the most accurate but they give you a good ballpark.

the 5850 is pretty easy on the PSU compared to some comparables.

I'd suggest ebaying your old supply and spring for a nice quality one

i wont sell my psu.

When i finished building my new pc i will sell my old system.

the old ocz psu. And i will sell this when i bought my new psu. Will be a ocz again. As they have always worked for me. And i love life time warranty hehe. And i have had corsair before and the mem banks and psu always died within 2 years. And i hate needing to rma items. As i work at a service center of asus and i know how long rmaing can take up.

i tend to stick with brands that have worked for me before. I just hope this sapphire vga will hold up on its name. I have only used asus and pc and xfx parts. and never had any problems with those.

well yesterday i ordered my new build. Hopefully i get it before the weekend. Instead of going 5850 1gb i bought a brand new 4890 sapphire 1gb for 137 euros. Som how i got vry lucky on finding that deal. Thats even cheaper then a 5770 1gb here. So looking at price quality its the best deal i could make.

Will sell the 4890 soon though for the same price haha. As second hand 4890s go for 140 here. And then when prices begin to drop ill get me a 5850 1gb.

and these parts look so sweet. I so love the bleu look of the asus mobos with the red membanks.
And the new cooler damn how frigging huge it is. Dang my old freezer pro fits 2 times inside it.

Later today i should be getting my shappire 4890 1gb and hopefully the case. Whuut cant w8 to get home from work.

well i finally got all parts i orderd.

Instead of a sapphire 4890 1gb i got a sapphire 4890 1gb vapor x looool well i dont care. I got a real good deal on that one then haha.

Case came yesterday and i put all parts together did some cable management. O man this case has alot of room for cable management. tomorrow ill throw in the psu and boot it up. Fingers crossed hehe.

But it looks so sweet the nzxt lexa s case looks even better irl and the fucking huge 4890 is so sweet dang cant w8 till tomorrow.

had to buy a new psu. As my ocz sxs 500 w didnt have 2x pcie connectors and neither did it have a 8pin mobo connector. I know u can just ad the 4 pin into the 8 pin socket and make a pcie from 2x molex but i wanted to do it right in 1 time.

Bought a OCZ ModXstream 700w.

Pc runs like a charm. Every game maxed out no lag no notting. Everyting works great. Dang me so happy lol. Havent found any probs with win 7 ult 64 either. Al programs work and all my games to.
