Question about BIOS flash for Asus V6800

Sybren

I have an original Geforce DDR Asus V6800 Pure, and I want to update the BIOS. I have version 2.10.02.04a and it appears that 2.10.02.10.01 is the latest version. However, in the readme file, it says the following:

This BIOS flash program supports following product models:
===============================================================
ASUS AGP-V6800 Deluxe : Version 2.10.02.10.01 (SGRAM)
ASUS AGP-V6800 Deluxe : Version 2.10.02.10.01 sba (SGRAM with sideband)

Does that mean that I cannot flash it UNLESS my BIOS is already version 2.10.02.10.01? I thought that 2.10.02.10.01 was the new version that I would be flashing to, but the wording of that readme has me worried.

Anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Chris Kennedy

That is telling you what each file will flash your BIOS *TO*... one will give it the latest version... the other will give it the latest version with SBA enabled.

That's odd. I just tried to do the flash and it said something like "Your card cann't be flashed with this BIOS" -- including the misspelling of "can't."

Whatever... its a pretty old video card, I guess I can't complain.
