I have a 6800GT made by BFG. It has recently died on me. It just sat in the box for a few months and all of a sudden when I put it back in it doesnt work. On the website it says I need a sales receipt but I dont have one... am I S.O.L.?

First off all you had no warranty from the very beginning, warranty's are non-transferable through another person, i think XFX not offers it, but its shady. Unless the person whom you bought it from can send you their original invoice, which ide tried to contact.

BFG is actually great. IMO better than EVGA since you dont need to register it or anything.

BFG says that on their website, but they actually do NOT ask for a reciept. They dont really care. Just give them a call, they will RMA it no problem(As long as there is no physical abuse or anything of that nature).

"Technically" the BFG warranty is only for the original purchaser, but like I said, they dont check or care.... Its great. :p

XFX is the only one that has a transferable lifetime warranty. They call it their double-lifetime warranty.
