Question about Belkin UPS

Hello,

I bought a Belkin 1200VA UPS about 6 months ago, and its working perfectly... but i have a small question i'm curious about.

Sometimes when the AC line drops under a certain level, say 215V, the green light on the UPS starts to blink, and it gives out the info that its "correcting" it... (don't know how to say it in english :D ) i guess its the AVR function.

So i'm guessing its just regulating the line to the PSU so that its almost always constant...
I know its probably designed to do that, but i'm concerned its not working too much or something?

Just curious if someone knows a bit about this, because i'm a bit curious :)

Thanx,
Tom.

It sounds like it is doing what it is supposed to. Leave it alone and let it work. :)

It's doing EXACTLY What it was meant to do. I have 2 APC 1200. One i have my computer plugged into it and the other I use for my home entertainment.

I have to say those have been the best investment I have ever made. I can be sitting in the morning working on my comp and at the exact same time I can hear both of my UPS start buzzing for a few seconds. Meaning they are autocorrecting or dealing with a fluctuations or regulating. Before having this... I would practically get a wave going through my monitor or it would flicker. Also when my AC would turn on it would the same. Now I never ever noticed it again.

Those UPS are not getting overworked. Just doing what they were built to do.

I was just curious, because the line here is really poor now that we have to turn the heating on... so the UPS does a lot of work.

Thanx for the info, i can breathe a little easier now :)

OKay, it is a bit funny i agree :D

But i have another APC unit, and it doesn't do that all the time, so does anyone know if there's a way to reduce the "sensitivity" of the Belkin UPS? i know there is an option like that on APC's units, so can i configure the belkin one to "work less" :D
