Question about Backlight Bleed - LG227WTG

I finally replaced my old CRT with a LG 227WTG today. Since I have never owned a LCD monitor, I was wondering how bad the backlight bleeding is on the monitor I have (ie is it acceptable or should the monitor be exchanged). I can notice it if I have a darker wallpaper and things like when windows is booting. I have attached a picture of it. The orange light is just the camera's autofocus light. The brightness was set at max for the picture if that changes anything. The taskbar was also on auto-hide, so that's probably what the bright white line across the bottom is...

On another note, when the driver is installed, does it put the color profile somewhere so that when you turn on color management in firefox, firefox finds it...and in Photoshop, do I just choose Monitor RGG - LG 227W?

Thanks for the help.

*edit - apparently I cannot figure out how to get the image to display, so you'll have to click the link.

Thatys about average. But some monitors are better then others.

I sounds like you purchased this monitor site unseen. Generally thats not a good way to buy a monitor. You really should see it at teh store to see how it looks to you. Then order online to get a better deal.
