Ok what I'm building is a AMD socket 754 system in an Antec Aria case, with a Zalman on the cpu. If you can't tell, what I'm gong for is quiet.
Now, things being what they are, I'm looking to get an inexpensive card to replace the onbaord graphics - ideally something that can overclock a bit. What I was looking at was either a 9550 or a 9600 without fan.
BUT, I'm wondering if ATITool (what I think I'll be using) has some sort of fan control, and more importantly, the ability to kill the fan. If so, I might go for something a little more powerful, underclock it for normal use and kill the fan, and set up a profile to kick into high gear for any sort of gaming I might do.
Answers, ideas, and suggestions welcome!
