Question about applying at job sites

So I've been wanting to put my resume up on job sites just to see what's out there. I've had quite a few co-workers tell me that even though they use the "block your employer from seeing your resume" feature on different job sites, they still get "caught". The company will then ask them to remove their resumes from there.

Ideas? what do you do when job hunting?

I'd respond by asking my company to remove all of their job listings.

I'd respond with a question asking me what legal right they to ask me to take something down. Unless I sign a draconian contract (which I wouldn't), the company has no business telling me what to do with my personal information.

They also have the right to fire you.
