Question about Applecare...

About 4-5 years ago my work place bought 5 eMac computers. These are the CRT screen eMacs. Along with the 5 eMacs, we bought 5 Applecare for iMac/eMac. This is before I came along so when it was purchased, no one activated the Applecare for the eMacs.

Since Apple requires you to activate Applecare within a year of purchasing the computer, it's no longer possible to activate Applecare for these eMacs. So my question is, is it possible to use these Applecare we purchased 4-5 years ago and activate some brand new iMacs?

Funny enough I called Apple and they don't even know. They said to try and find out. I don't have a new iMac to try it with.

I just added AppleCare to my MBP...got a code from some eBay seller and voila it was cheaper than both Amazon or Apple educational discount...however did they do that?
