Does anybody know if you take the AP exams before you take the AP class or after? I havent really found a definite answer ughh

why would you take a test that determines your knowledge of the course so you dont have to take it in college before you learn it?

theoretically, you can take the AP exam without having taken the class. generally, you take the AP exam in may, though.

I've known some people who took the AP tests without the class, however these people had a good knowledge base and they only took the easier tests (gov, bio, etc).

you can take AP exams without taking the course. there is no requirement, you just need to pay for it.

I took micro econ AP without taking the course and still pulled off a 4 so just study hard and buy some good review books

You take the AP tests in May. It's not required that you have to take the class in order to take the exam.
