Hey guys,

I'm asking this for a friend of mine.

There was nothing on AOL's site about this.

Does anyone know for a fact if the AOL master account holder can read all emails associated with this account?

For example: Jack is the master account holder.
Jane has an account under Jack.
Can Jack read Jane's email?

Thanks.

Can the master account holder change sub-account's passwords? If so, then yes they can read emails of other accounts under the master account.

Don't know about now, but they could easily do this in the past.

They can change sub account passwords and settings, but they can't just read the email. They'd have to have a password and login.

From the last time I used AOL (back in 1998) they can't.

Funnily enough, I cancelled AOL after their security team locked my account for having a ton of emails containing pirated movies, music and software. They claimed they can look at email accounts, and cancelled the same day...lol

But if they could change the password, they wouldnt be able to change it back to what it used to be when they were done looking at the email. It would be pretty obvious to the sub account owner that someone else had looked at their email.
