Hey guys,

So I'm just about finished w/ my new rig and I'm using the Antec P180 case.

The three 3-speed 120mm fans sometimes will not be spinning, and if I lightly tap the fans, they will start up again. This happens kinda randomly I think.

Are these fans auto sensing or something? Or are just defective. I know the white little switch connected to them has 3 settings for High, Med, Low speeds, but shouldn't it always be spinning and not idle?

Anyone w/ this case know what I'm talking about?

Thanks!

They spin on any setting unless you have 7 or 5 volted a connecting molex connector. I 7-volted one of the 120x25's, but it won't start unless the speed is set to medium. If you have made no volt mods then they appear defective to me. Are you using a fan controller or SpeedFan by any chance?

No fan controller...they are just connected to the main power supply via 4 pin connector.

If all of your fans are not starting up on the low speed when powering on pc, I'm led to believe that 1) they are on a "psu fan controlled" molex connector 2)maybe try another psu if you can 3) they are defective (which seems highly unlikely IMO). Other than that you have me stumped
