Question about an unlocked GSM cell phone

I have an unlocked GSM handset with me. I wish to use it with Verizon service. Would it be possible to do that?

No, verizon uses I believe a CDMA network which won't work with a GSM phone.

If that was possible im sure a lot of people would ditch their Verizon phone for a GSM.

I would've got myself a new cellphone in Taiwan (not available in the US) if it weren't for it being GSM 🙁

I just recently learned the joys of unlocked phones. Got the fiancee an unlocked pink SLVR to use on T-mobile to go prepaid. Works great. 🙂
