I have a '99 Compaq laptop with a PCI drive. Does anyone know if using the Adaptec Slim SCSI 1480 CardBus PC Card would allow me to be compatible with a Yamaha external 8x4x24 CD burner with only SCSI connections? Would I need anything besides the Adaptec card? My laptop does not have SCSI and the card is the only way to use the burner. Can anyone help?
