Question about Amazon 1-Click Purchase option...

If I use 1-click, can I revise my order after purchasing via 1 click?

Specifically, can I later change shipping option from standard 3 - 5 day to free budget saver, and can I can payment option from credit card to gift certificate balance?

And if I had to, could I totally cancel the order after pressing 1-click?

(I was going to e-mail Amazon CSR, but I couldn't find any option that doesn't require entering an existing order #)

You can usually cancel within around 30 minutes of placing the order. Goto get order status, click the order number, and click "Change or cancel an item" which will allow you to cancel the order.

I don't think you can change the shipping preference once placed without calling. Amazon's toll free number is, 1.800.201.7575. Call them and they can probably switch it.

I just changed 1 click to on and looked at the shipping options. Super saver is not an option, but I'm a Prime member, so YMMV.

There are some answers there.

1 day shipping orders made early in the day are sometimes impossible to cancel, but you can always refuse delivery of an item that ships. Longer than 1 day shipping will have a larger window for cancellation.

You MUST enter the gift card PRIOR to order for it to be used for that order. This is where cancellation comes into play if you screw the pooch on your payment method.

1-click can be configured, and even given options to select: payment option should you have multiple cards on file (if you do gift card, you should go regular checkout or modify a 1-clock), addresses, and default 1-click shipping method (e.g. 3-5 day).
