Question about alcohol effecting one's body.

I am 6'0'' and about 160lbs. If I take about four shots mixed w/ fruit punch around 8:45/9:00pm, will I be set to be presentable and whatnot (i.e. not fvcked at all) by 11:15pm or so?

How long will it take for the alcohol to hit me?

It effects different people in different ways. There is a thing called tolorance and some small people can drink that no problem, where some large people will be falling over. It just depends on the person.

1. depends on how big the shot is
2. what type of alcohol are in the shots(pucker, rum, vodka, everclear)
3. how fast they were done
4. and whether or not you are a pussy when it comes to alcohol

I could hammer down four shots pretty easily and not really have it affect me.

Are you talking about presentable as in not being a drunken ass, or presentable as in not blowing positive for alcohol if you are pulled over?

There's many other factors... the most significant being your past drinking history and more specifically, your tolerance. If you've never drank a drop in your life you'd probably be destroyed.

Also I hate to nitpick, but alcohol "affects" your body, and you "effect" the act of drinking it.

I've drank before, four shots in pretty rapid succession (15 minutes or so). I wasn't drunk by any means, but I was minorly buzzed. I think I was set for about 2 hours.. not totally sure. I dont really remember.

I think it depends a lot on how often people drink as well. I am 6'11, pretty thin but weigh about 220. I don't drink and don't plan on starting. Not sure how much i could hold without feeling it but i'm sure it would be considerably less than someone half my size can drink who drinks all the time.

For me? Shots hit you quick. I can do 6 beers an hour all night long, but 6 shots in 5 mins would hit me pretty hard


edit: Schmirnoff vodka? yikes.... I drank 2/3 of a 1.75 in an hour and a half one time. Lets just say I dont remember the rest of the night, and I couldnt touch vodka for a long long time.

And then Im out of beer so I go to sleep. The most drinks I've had in a night was 35 or 35 (someone else kept count for me) With beer I can do a case a night, but usually I get pretty darn full.

You probably be buzzed for the first hour after the shots and then will be tired come 11. Once you start you gotta keep going or you'll get sleepy and lazy. Go for 6 shots, then you'll be good by 11
