Question about AGP and Motherboards

I have the PNY FX5700LE which is an 8x vid card but my motherboards only support 2x and 4x. Would it make a performance difference if I put this card in a motherboard that supports 8x?
 
Yet another thread about this... please search!

8X AGP and 4X AGP are always compatible with each other, and there is absolutely zero performance difference between them with today's video cards.
