Question about: AGP 4x / Voltage / Motherboards

I was at the GIGABYTE web site reading up on the "P4 Titan DDR series" motherboards and came upon this WARNING:

Do not use AGP 2X card (3.3V) in this motherboard. It will burn and damage the motherboard due to Intel® 845 / Intel® 850 chipset can't support AGP 2X(3.3V).

If your AGP card has "AGP 4X notch"(show below), please make sure your AGP card is AGP 4X (1.5V).

Well I was looking at the GAINWARD site, and all it mentions about the Nvidia Geforce3 Ti200 card is: Support AGP 2X/4X

How do I know the card I end up with (some type of Geforce3 Ti200) is a 4X 1.5V card?

As always...THANKS!

Mitch

Please read the FAQ: AGP cards on i845 and i850 motherboards.

Unfortunately there is no end-user foolproof method of identifying cards which use the correct 1.5 volts signalling. From what I have seen, the entire GeForce 3 line of cards should be compliant.

I know that ASUS has implemented an LED on the P4B266 that indicates a card is not compliant and will not let you power on the system. As far as I know, no other manufacturer has done the same....yet.
