I finally bought my tux and was wondering what other things I could get. My date is wearing a pink dress.... so what accessories could I get to match her dress? If it were another color I know I could get a matching vest and all....... but what for pink?

Bow tie and cumber bund. If you wear a waistcoat you skip the cumber bund. You can also do the suspender thing. If you really want to go all out you can get the enamel cufflinks and shirt studs.

Bought your tux? Wow, I always rented because they included everything in the package so it require little to no decision making on coordinating the set and accessories. In your case, it depends on the look and color of your tux. Assuming you have a black/charcoal grey/grey/white/basically any neutral colored tux, it will match with her dress. Get accordingly colored accessories. A bow tie is generally a good idea (isn't that an integral part of the tux?) Cufflinks and the shirt button studs are nice as well.

Hopefully your date has some color matching sense. You don't really need to worry about matching with the color pink. She does. :)

Just forget about trying to match...her pink on your black will work fine

yeah, my g/f's dress is a beaded aquamarine........no chance in hell I'm "matching" that one. ;) But just wear a neutral color, and everything will be fine....I got a nice Lubiam tux, black shirt, charcoal vest. Helps to have a friend who's a manager at the local Tuxedo World/After Dark store. ^_^

Don't try to "match" her.
Just wear black tie.
Be sure it is self tie and not a clip on/ pre-tied
BrooksBrothers has a nice set in silk
Also, your local military base will have regular and patent leather lace up shoes for a good price.

The tux i bought is a hugo boss 3 button notch lapel. Reason I bought it is because I'm going to 2 proms plus I'm in a symphony orchestra... so I wear a tux pretty often. My old tux was too small for me.

Anyway, I already have bowtie, cummerbund, etc. I have all those. I was really referring to accessories such as a pocket square. I'm not quite sure what would match with her dress, or just look nice with my black tux

Hmm.. actually now that I think about it... I might want to buy a new bowtie... what style do I get for formalwear? Windosor, louie, henry, philip, or jackson? I want to look classy ;)

Best place to buy BowTies, and they have a good selection of Formal wear sets, and sometimes they will make one for you out of the fabric used in the other ties if you ask.

edit - nm, I figured out what I'm gonna wear. Since I'm going to two proms, I'm gonna pick a vest that can match both of my dates' dresses. Pocket square will probably be white or something close to white, and bowtie either black, or matching the vest....

Shoes....... do I have to wear tux shoes? I really don't like how they look....

I do not like the look of Patent leather Opera Pumps.
Some areas of the country, folks will wear them.
In some other places folks will wear normal black leather shoes.
My suggestion is go to a military base and get their patent leather lace up shoes
